The National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) aims to contribute to the economic and social recovery from the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to drive the green and digital transition, creating a more sustainable, fair, and successful economy.

 

Eligible applicants and target groups of the Plan are:

  • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
  • Educational institutions and students; research and scientific organizations
  • Municipalities and local authorities
  • Households, citizens in vulnerable situations

PRIORITIES

The Plan is structured around four main pillars:

PILLAR 1: “INNOVATIVE BULGARIA” – aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the economy based on knowledge and smart growth through measures in education, digital skills, science, innovation, technology, and their interconnections.

PILLAR 2: “GREEN BULGARIA” – focused on the sustainable management of natural resources by maintaining ecological sustainability, ensuring the long-term fulfillment of the current needs of the economy and society.

PILLAR 3: “CONNECTED BULGARIA” – aimed at improving transport and digital connectivity to support the sustainable development of the country’s regions.

PILLAR 4: “FAIR BULGARIA” – promoting sustainable growth for disadvantaged people and building effective and accountable public institutions that are responsive to the needs of businesses and citizens.
